Professional Career Branding Plan
Professional Career Branding has come into existence. Just as companies spend the time, energy and resources to invest in building a name for them, the same is required when it comes to establishing your professional career brand. Read and view the following article and videos:
Based on your aspirations and interests, list five professional career goals you would like to accomplish as they relate to your aspirations of becoming a Health Informatics & Information Management professional. Start with the small goals and gradually move to larger goals. Creating goals leads to identifying the various steps and processes necessary to accomplish each goal. In addition, it also offers the opportunity for self-reflection. Dig back into previous work experiences and/or current work experiences, whether good or bad and create your leadership philosophy. Your leadership philosophy shall consist between two (2) – three (3) pages. Within your philosophy, be sure to address the following items listed below.
- Personal values such as honesty, commitment, respect for others
- Description of how you will carry out your responsibilities
- What your priorities are
- What you expect of your colleagues and staff and how you will evaluate them
- What your colleagues and staff can expect of you
- Your connection to at least one (1) leadership theory
A Sample “Thank You Letter”
Prepare a draft of a sample thank you letter concluding a job interview. By sending a thank you note for their time, you avoid undermining your investment and show the employer genuine gratitude for the opportunity.
Failure to follow up could leave the impression you’re not interested enough to go the extra mile and reach out afterward. According to a survey by online job-matching service “The Ladders”, 75 percent of interviewers said that receiving a thank-you letter from a candidate affects their decision-making process.
Create a one-page “Thank You” letter that includes the following items at a minimum: thank the person for meeting with you; a statement on what you liked about the interview, a repeat your interest in the job along with your enclosed contact information.
